HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?CURRENT LEADTIMES *we keep this information as up to date as possible based on current business & supply chain delays* CLICK HERE TO BE REDIRECTED TO OUR LEADTIMES PAGE WHERE WE POST ANY BUSINESS DELAYS Non-made to order items: For items that we have inventory of, these are currently being shipped within 1-2 business days of the order being placed, with the exception of treats that we dehydrate in house. New orders on out of stock items are currently taking about 1-2 weeks to arrive from our suppliers. In most instances, we wait until all items are ready to be shipped in one package, in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint. For our flat rate shipping, we are seeing that most packages arrive to our customers in about 5 days. If we anticipate your order arriving longer than the 2-3 week standard time frame, we will reach out to let you know. In-House Dehydrated treats & chews: Any items that we dehydrate in house are indicated in the description of the listing. To optimize freshness, we dehydrate items once an order is placed. Our dehydration process can take 12-72 hours depending on the item. Made to order items: Our made to order items are indicated at the bottom of the product description. We like to support small, local businesses. All of our printed apparel, embroidered items, and laser engravings are outsourced to local shops. Their current lead time is 10-14 business days for printing and embroidery. We place batched orders with our partners weekly for efficient production. If you need an item sooner, please email us at Sako@theworkingmongrel.com with your order number and name as the subject, and we will do our best to expedite production! Once orders are ready, they are shipped within 1-2 days of completed production. In most instances, these products are ready to be shipped within 2 weeks. However, due to global supply chain issues and business trends in our made to order products, we ask that you allow up to 4 weeks for orders that contain made to order products. If we anticipate your order arriving longer than the standard time frame, we will reach out to let you know! In general, order production depends on several factors, such as time of the year, product stock status, and order size. We believe in minimal waste, so most of our private label or custom gear is 'made to order'. For items that are 3rd party, we buy limited inventory with the goal of only re-stocking items that have successful sell through in an effort to limit our carbon footprint from end to end production. Almost all orders that do not include made to order items, are shipped within 2 business days from the order submission date, but can take longer in rare instances. That being said, it is important to note that the exact production time can differ from order to order depending on the items ordered. Please also kindly note that most of our employees have paws rather than opposable thumbs. NOTICE: due to COVID-19 & world wide transit delays, most shipping services are running slower than usual. We cannot control the shipping time once your package is in the hands of the shipping provider. We try to keep our shipping lead times as up to date as possible based on the status of global supply chain and transportation delays.

WHERE ARE YOUR PRODUCTS MADE & SOURCED?Most of our products are manufactured within the United States. For some specialty items, we do work with farmers and small businesses overseas. We've put a lot of care into traceability when it comes to the edible items that we are sourcing and strive to find products that support regenerative agriculture as well as reduce waste. Some of our treats and chews are made from animal by products that would have otherwise been discarded at the time of slaughter. Additionally, many of our treats and chews depend on the availability from the farm that they are being sourced from and may be seasonal only items.
-
SAFETY 101Since not all chews and dogs are created equal, all chewing should be monitored at all times to avoid chewing too quickly which can lead to choking or intestinal blockage. When introducing something new, always start with shorter, supervised chew sessions to take note of your dog's behavior. For new supplements or treats, we recommend consulting with your vet if you have concerns and introducing them slowly into your dog's diet. We also stress to always provide fresh, clean water nearby We avoid any chews that are chemically treated with toxic ingredients, such as traditional rawhides that have been bleached and baked. All of our chews are either in their natural state or dehydrated. Highly processed treats and chews are often stripped so far from their natural state, that it becomes more difficult for the dog to digest. Finally, we strive to source treats that are made from recognizable natural ingredients, high in meat content and avoid fillers. With any edible product that you introduce to your pet, always be sure to check over the ingredient panel.

WHY SO MANY SPECIALTY PROTEINS?We know what it's like to have a dog who's allergic to virtually everything found in commercial kibble and treats. This is one of the inspiration's behind our brand. We aim to carry products that are single to low ingredient and come from specialty protein sources. We don't want you spending countless hours searching the internet and local stores for treats and chews that your pup can enjoy. Instead, we've dedicated the time to do the work for you by creating a one stop shop with a wide variety of non-traditional proteins. Looking for something that we don't have? We're happy to check with our partners to see if we can carry it for you. Please email info@theworkingmongrel.com and title the subject of your email 'New Product Inquiry'.
